ASMW has introduced various programs to the Atlanta community with the main goal of building character and employable skills in both the youth and adults and get them ready for various locally grown careers in the field of filmmaking. Our programs are supervised by producers, directors and industry leaders who voluntier thier time to make this, which would have remained a dream to many. The Film Industry Work by 18 Program is open to ASMW member between the ages of 14 to 18 wishing to train in any aspects of the movie industry. The program is designed for at-risk youth who are residents of the state of Georgia. The students receive one on one development based on their strengths and interest. Training includes areas in pre-production, production and post production phases of movie production. On completion, the students are teamed up with established production and production related companies. During the training, the students will be allowed to participate in the production of other feature movies. On completion of the 24 week (6 month) program, From this point thier continued membership in ASMW will offer them work opportunities and career advancment Workshop is on Mondays from 6pm till 9pm VENUE - ASMW Office, 576 Lee Street, opposite the West End Mall Program Fee - $149.00 |
The Hands on Production (HOP Project) is 24 week program designed to address the needs of men and women 18 years and over by offering them training and career building opportunities that promote social change, improve family economic self-sufficiency and provide opportunities in employment, business and entrepreneur development. In this program the students are taught "hands on" how to make movies. Areas of training include: 1. Selecting and outlining a movie project. 2. Creating the script/screenplay 3. Developing the budget. 4. Financing and sponsorship 5. Casting and crew. 6. Project management techniques. 7. On the set Production . 8.
